Six stories, one theme
In Wild Tales, director Damián Szifrón presents six diverse stories in which ordinary people are pushed to their limits. Each story revolves around one central theme: revenge. From an enraged motorist to a derailed wedding, the situations are shocking, relatable and often absurdly funny. The film thus paints a sharp and satirical picture of society.

Strong makers
The film was produced by Pedro Almodóvar and Agustín Almodóvar. With a strong cast, striking camera work and a quirky soundtrack, Wild Tales manages to surprise from start to finish.

Boundaries of tolerance
The film shows how thin the line is between civilisation and chaos, and how quickly it can be crossed when emotions take over.

Exploring Cinema series
The Exploring Cinema series, a collaboration between Lumière and United World College Maastricht, celebrates film as a transnational medium with pioneering works that have shaped world cinema over the past century.
