During Soapbox Science, inspiring scientists take to the streets, literally on a soapbox, and bring their research to life for all to see. No complicated jargon, but fascinating stories, surprising insights and interactive conversations.
Discover all kinds of scientists
Whether you are curious, passing by by chance or a real science lover: be surprised, ask questions and discover how science touches your world. Get carried away by a stream of science in the open air for three hours! Every hour, four new speakers will be ready on their soapboxes, each with a unique story and surprising topic.
This is one of the Join UM50 projects supported by Universiteit Maastricht as part of its 50th anniversary.

Soapbox Science can be found in City Centre
Location
Shoppers will enjoy the city centre. This is where the main shopping streets and shopping centres can be found. This part of the city also has the well-known highlights such as the Vrijthof square and the town hall on the Markt square.
