Music on the edge
This concert explores the boundary between emotion, sensuality and the sublime. Three composers take you into a world where music not only sounds, but is almost physically experienced.

Ecstasy with Skrjabin
Alexander Skrjabin saw music as a spiritual journey. His "Le Poème de l'Extase" is an overwhelming orchestral work in which desire and mysticism come together, and Karol Szymanowski's First Violin Concerto also exudes passion and desire. Inspired by poetry by Tadeusz Miciński, it creates a dreamlike, almost hallucinatory sound world full of love and mysticism.

Seduction in the waltz
With Maurice Ravel, the waltz sounds like a game of elegance and subcutaneous tension, with a nod to the tradition of Franz Schubert.

A blistering concert evening
Together, these works form a rare intense programme in which ecstasy, eroticism and beauty merge into a compelling musical experience.
