About the exhibition
Artist Jos Laven from Heerlen presents an overview of older and more recent work, consisting of sculptures and works on paper. The sculptures, executed in bronze, aluminium and plaster, among other materials, vary greatly in size and appearance. The work on paper forms a more free and experimental thinking space in which ideas arise and develop.
Paintings full of peace and atmosphere
René Holten also shows paintings of landscapes and seascapes. After years of working in industrial design, he found room again for his free artistic practice. His paintings exude peace, tranquillity and admiration for nature, focusing on the beauty of the landscape. The exhibition will be on display in the Andries Chapel for a fortnight.
