Cuppens & Cuppens in Remix '26
11 March until 17 May
An immersive installation in which existing work is reassembled and acquires meaning through the interaction between art, space and visitor.
Cuppens & Cuppens in Remix '26 is an immersive exhibition by Ri-Jeanne Cuppens and Noëlle Cuppens, in which the artists revisit existing work from their oeuvre and recombine it within a new spatial context. The exhibition space in S.A.C. 59 is conceived as a total installation, in which space, illusion and scale determine the visitor's experience. Works from different periods are brought together and repositioned, creating new relationships between scale, perspective and materiality. The meaning is not fixed, but arises in the interaction between the artworks, the space and the visitor's perception. The exhibition functions as a work-in-progress: an immersive environment that continues to evolve over its duration, growing into a dynamic whole through encounters, conversations and interventions by other makers.
