Spectacular musical Bokkenrijders

We follow a family that joins the illustrious gang of robbers out of desperation to survive. Starring Suzan Seegers, directed by Servé Hermans and Peter Noten, with the cooperation of 't Mestreechs Volleks Tejater. Bokkenrijders can only be seen for four weeks at its intended location the Stadsweide in Maastricht. Ticket sales have started.

In the eighteenth century, the grain harvest fails in Dutch and Belgian Limburg. Driven by poverty and hunger, rebellious peasants and criminals rise up against the nobility and the church. We follow a family that joins the illustrious gang of robbers out of desperation to stay alive. The mysterious gangs that spread fear and unrest in the villages are given a name by the nobility and the church: billygoat riders. They are accused of looting and burning in the name of the devil. In reality, they stand up for themselves and their children. The real terror consists of the relentless persecution that awaits hundreds of alleged billygoat riders. The legend awakens in a story full of mysticism, rebellion and justice.
