In the run-up to the Hungarian elections, important questions take centre stage: is Hungary still a fully-fledged democracy? And how do developments relate to the European Union? In cooperation with Studio Europa Maastricht, we are organising an evening at Lumière focusing on these questions. We will screen the documentary The Hungarian Playbook, which offers insight into political developments in Hungary and their broader impact on Europe.

Deepening & discussion
A live Q&A and panel discussion with leading voices from politics, journalism and academia will follow afterwards. Guests include Katalin Cseh, member of the Hungarian National Assembly on behalf of the opposition, investigative journalist Jesse Pinster(Follow The Money) and Ferenc Laczó, associate professor of European history at Universiteit Maastricht. The conversation will be moderated by Elisa Braun, Chief Brussels Correspondent at Euractiv.

You will receive a free drink with the purchase of your ticket.
