“A laid-back summer music festival”
A place where, from Wednesday 5 August to Sunday 16 August 2026, you can enjoy intimate concerts with the small-scale, accessible atmosphere that has come to make Borrel Noten so special. In the unique setting of d’n Hiemel and the historic surroundings of the Helpoort, a relaxed summer festival atmosphere is created every evening for residents and visitors to Maastricht.

Twelve days of the festival
To maintain a good balance between the intensity and quality of the festival on the one hand, and the quality of life for the local community on the other, the festival’s format has been adjusted. Whereas Borrel Noten previously lasted four weeks, this year’s festival features a more compact format of twelve consecutive festival days (including two weekends).

Evening concerts start earlier
In addition, evening concerts will now start at 8.00 pm, meaning the programme will finish by 10.30 pm at the latest. On Saturdays and Sundays, the programme is supplemented by afternoon matinees between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm.
Special attention and space will be given this year to Roots Unlimited’s youth music project: We Want More! Under the guidance of professional musicians, a platform will be provided for up-and-coming talent.
