Organ concert: Laudate eum in chordis et organo
Saturday 3 October
On 8 August and 3 October, the historic Pereboom & Leijser organ from 1878 will be played in St Martin’s Church in Maastricht during two special concerts.
Organist, conductor and lecturer Jan Harmsen takes you on a journey through works by great masters such as César Franck, Louis Vierne, Léon Boëllmann, Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens, Hendrik Andriessen and more!
Unwind beneath the neo-Gothic vaults of this 19th-century cruciform basilica, whilst the historic organ pipes fill the space with a breathtaking sound. The concert lasts an hour and takes place in the afternoon – a lovely time to round off another atmospheric day in Maastricht. Afterwards, you can relax and reflect on your experience on a terrace on the Vrijthof or take a stroll along the Meuse.
