On 24 September, the Pieke Parcours presents a special evening of film and performance at Lumière. The centrepiece will be the screening of the award-winning short film Zwermen (MurMur), a production by the Maastricht animation duo MurMur, consisting of Janneke Swinkels and Tim Frijsinger. With Zwermen , the duo managed to win several awards and nominations in recent years, drawing national and international attention to their unique and artisanal approach. The film is about Pete, an elderly man in a care home, who is restricted in his actions when he notices that he suddenly begins to turn into a bird. Although he is still accepted within the group, he himself thinks it is time to join a new flock.

Q&A with MurMur
Afterwards, there will be a Q&A with MurMur, where visitors will learn more about the creative process and techniques behind the film. An exhibition of the puppets used in the film will also be on display, giving visitors a unique look at the physical creations that bring the film to life.

The film screening will be preceded and concluded by an intimate one-on-one performance by Robin Puijk in the foyer. Robin performs the play Vlugt in a tent. This play is inspired by lambe-lambe theatre. One by one, visitors enter the tent and are shown a two-minute scene.

The programme combines film, performance and figure theatre in an innovative setting, offering both depth of content and artistic experience. Admission is free, but registration is recommended to guarantee availability.
