Soup kitchens of the Momus - a farm-to-table dinner at Vaeshartelt
UNTIL 5 July
Enjoy a unique farm-to-table dinner at Vaeshartelt, inspired by the Momus' historic Soup Kitchens. An evening full of flavours, history and connection.
The Soup Kitchens of the Momus is an event that connects Maastricht's historical duty of care with contemporary challenges around sustainability, food security and social loneliness. Inspired by the 19th-century gentlemen's society Momus, we will offer a dinner featuring regional and seasonal Limburg produce straight from the garden. This initiative connects modern hospitality with social issues and brings together people from different backgrounds.
During the dinner, which takes place at Landfood Regout at Vaeshartelt, workshops, dining moments and tours will be organised.
Participants will learn about the history of Vaeshartelt and the city of Maastricht, while enjoying a meal prepared by Vaeshartelt chef Kris School. The event is free and open to all, with a focus on social connection and awareness of local food.
What to expect.
-A delicious dinner made with produce from Vaeshartelt's garden.
-Plays over dinner to get to know each other better and create new connections.
