About the guide
Vinologist Maurice van Vinteur has been a wine guide in Limburg since 2019, co-owner of Wijndomein Riesenberg and co-owner of The Urban Winery Maastricht. He likes to take his guests out by E-bike or bicycle to tell nearby vineyards/domains all about the history, terroir, winemaking activities and cellar choices. Because he has a lot of contact with Limburg wine growers, he is well informed about Limburg wine culture.
The tour
In summer, he organises wine tours to 3 vineyards around Maastricht and finishes either with a short tour and a glass of regional wine at The Urban Winery Maastricht.
The tour takes about 2.5 hours, is about 15km long and starts at bike rental company Aon de Stasie next to the main entrance of Maastricht train station. Vinteur can hire an E-bike for you (+32.50 p.p.) provided 72 hours notice is given via vinteur.
