On this day, we celebrate the Day of Architecture in Maastricht. A day that this year is all about coming together, meeting and sharing.
Connecting in the city
Just outside the city centre, places show how important public space is for everyday life. In neighbourhoods such as Pottenberg and Malpertuis, green areas, squares and informal meeting places form the heart of the neighbourhood. Larger urban interventions also contribute to this connectedness. De Groene Loper shows how an infrastructure project can become an elongated meeting place, where people walk, play sports and stay. A place that connects different parts of the city.
Discover architecture
Explore projects and places that show how architecture and public space contribute to a city where being together is central. Be surprised by walks along the greenery in the neighbourhoods and discover how design and use come together. Come see and meet in the city we make together.
Programme
There will be a morning programme from 10:00 - 13:00. This will cover the projects at Malpertuis and Pottenberg. And an afternoon programme from 13:00 to 16:00. This will be about the Green Ribbon. You can find the full programme on Bureau Europa .

Location
Shoppers will enjoy the city centre. This is where the main shopping streets and shopping centres can be found. This part of the city also has the well-known highlights such as the Vrijthof square and the town hall on the Markt square.
