555 years of the Dinghuis

This year we are celebrating a special anniversary: 555 years of Dinghuis. The building itself has been there for some time, but exactly 555 years ago it was first mentioned in a historical source. In honour of this special anniversary, we are opening the doors with a festive free programme. Discover the rich history of this iconic building on one of two guided tours, or experience Rubben Komkommer's humorous performance on the bell floor.

Exhibition - continuously from the morning onwards
Discover the Dinghuis up close! On the bell floor, a small exhibition is set up with special Dinghuis articles, historical photos and a presentation on 555 years of the Dinghuis. Visitors can take a look in some of the rooms that have been opened especially for this day.

Puppet shows - Ruben Komkommer: 'Poesje Nel en het Dinghuis'
Let yourself be taken into the magical world of the Poesjenellenkelder! Ruben Komkommer brings the history of the Dinghuis to life with humour and imagination, with Jan Nelissen and Pieke Dassen, the founders of the Poesjenellenkelder, also making regular appearances.

Guided tours of the Dinghuis
Join an Explore Maastricht guide to explore the Dinghuis and hear the stories behind this special monument. The tour starts at the Maastricht Store and takes you through the building's rich history and hidden places.
