The Pleasure, Art & Science Festival (PAS) is Universiteit Maastricht annual opening festival — featuring science, music and theatre for students, city residents and visitors to the region.
During the Pleasure, Art & Science Festival (PAS), Universiteit Maastricht opens its doors to anyone who is curious and wants to learn more about the research taking place at the university.
Be inspired
Over the course of two evenings, more than 80 activities take place each night. Academics from the university present their research through lectures, talks and (interactive) demonstrations, etc. There are also cultural activities, such as theatre and dance performances, concerts, exhibitions, etc.
Admission to the festival is free. It connects the university with the city, art with science, researchers with society, and students with the other residents of Maastricht.
UM 50th Anniversary
This edition focuses on the university’s 50th anniversary (UM50); there is the Health Fest, ‘Passion for Health’, where we look at what you can do yourself to improve your health and lifestyle; and there is a children’s programme on Saturday afternoon.
