Every Wednesday during the summer holidays, the Natural History Museum organises fun and educational activities.
Looking for a fun day out in Maastricht during the summer holidays?
During the summer holidays, there’s plenty to do for the whole family at the NHMM. As well as inspiring exhibitions on Limburg’s natural history past and present, there are weekly activities specially designed for children. These include creative workshops, treasure hunts and guided tours that take explorers of all ages on an adventure through the history of nature.
Programme:
- Wednesday 8 July: Bee Water Station
- Wednesday 15 July: Exploration booklet in the garden
- Wednesday 22 July: Bag printing
- Wednesday 29 July: Owls with ink
- Wednesday 5 August: Folding a fan-shaped butterfly
- Wednesday 12 August: Making a sprout plate
- Wednesday 19 August: 1 cm² garden
- Wednesday 26 August: T-shirt painting
Practical information
Participation is free with a valid admission ticket. The activities take place from 1.30 pm to 2.45 pm and are for children aged 4 to 12 (children aged 4–6 must be accompanied by a parent).
