The programme
During this special chamber music concert, the Andriesii Quartet will present two monumental works from its repertoire:

E. Grieg String Quartet op. 27 in 4 movements:
1. Un poco andante - Allegro molto ed agitato
2. Romanze Andantino
3. Intermezzo: Allegro molto marcato - Piu vivo e scherzando
4. Finale: Lento - Presto al saltarello

Dm. Schostakovich Piano Quintet op. 57 in 5 movements:
1. Prelude Lento
2. Fugue Adagio
3. Scherzo Allegretto
4. Intermezzo Lento
5. Finale Allegretto

The Musicians:
Marcel Andriesii - violin
Born in Moldova (1979) and formed by training in Chișinău, Bucharest, Brussels, Hasselt, Ghent and Courchevel. A prize winner and finalist in several international competitions, he played as a soloist with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Moldova. He taught in Chișinău and was a member of both the Symphony Orchestra of Flanders and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaysia. Since 2023, he has been part of the first violins of the OPRL.

Aya Kitaoka - violin
Japanese violinist Aya Kitaoka studied in Tokyo and continued her studies in Maastricht. She won prizes at the All Japan Student Music Competition, the Postacchini Competition and the Antón García Abril Chamber Music Competition, among others. With performances in orchestras across Europe, she has been a member of the second violin section of the Royal Liège Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023, where she became second soloist in 2024.

Ian Psegodschi - viola
Originally from Chisinau, Ian trained in Moldova, Milan and later with Michael Kugel in Ghent and Maastricht. He played with the National Orchestra of Belgium and performed at international festivals. A prize winner of several solo and chamber music competitions, he built a wide-ranging career, including concert series in France with the Andriesii Quartet.

Chloé Lanteri - cello
French cellist Chloé Lanteri studied in Menton, Paris and Lyon, and received master classes from Philippe Muller and the Ébène Quartet, among others. She has collaborated with prominent French orchestras and participated in the Summer Academy of the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Klaus Mäkelä. She has been tuttiste cello with the OPRL since 2023.

Georgy Voylochnikov - piano
Born in Voronezh and educated at Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Georgy won numerous first prizes, including at the Takamatsu and Scriabin competitions, and later at international competitions in China, Cologne and Aachen. His chamber music projects have been nominated several times for Opus Klassik prizes. Since 2021, he has been pianist of the Andriesii Quartet.
