't Bassin
If you're on your way to the Sphinx Quarter, a pit stop at 't Bassin is an excellent idea. The marina exudes a beautiful calm and tranquillity in winter time and is sparklingly decorated with glittering lights glittering on the water. What a picture! The wharf cellars are home to cosy restaurants where you can enjoy delicious seafood. Nice and cosy by the water.

Christmas tree at the Mestreechter Geis
On the little square 'Het Bat' in the Stokstraat quarter stands the iconic Mestreechter Geis. Right next to it is a festive Christmas tree. A great spot for a photo opportunity. With the Christmas tree and the Geis side by side, and the characteristic buildings of the Stokstraat Quarter in the background. Get a hot chocolate to-go at DARQ and then stroll through the beautifully decorated shopping streets. If you still want to score a nice Christmas outfit, this is also the place to be!

Charles Eyck Park
In summer, Charles Eyck Park is a living meeting place where young and old gather for a picnic, a game of volleyball or to read a book in the sun. A lovely place in summer, but certainly in winter too! Light garlands illuminate the path along the water. Sit on one of the benches and fully take in the view. To your right, you can see the Hoge Brug bridge, St Sint Servaasbrug bridge and the towers of Basilica of Our Lady. To your left, the Kennedy Bridge with St Peter's Mountain in the background.
