Discover the geological history and impressive fossils of the ENCI quarry on a fascinating excursion on Mount St Peter.

More information

Discover the fascinating story of Sint-Pietersberg (Mount Saint peter) on a unique excursion. The mountain's limestone rock formed millions of years ago in a shallow tropical sea, during the time of the dinosaurs. Thanks to ENCI's excavations, a wealth of geological information and impressive fossils, such as the Mosasaurus, have become visible.

Together with expert guides, you will travel through time and learn how the rocks give us insight into Earth's history. Admire the rhythmic flint layers and discover what they tell us about the depth of the sea and the age of the fossils. You can also meet members of the Geological Society Limburg, who know all about the fossils in the quarry.
