Since 2015, the JekerKlassiek foundation has organised a free festival of classical music every June. Various ensembles thereby give mini-concerts at surprising locations in the Jeker Quarter such as shops and cafés. Enjoy the finest classical music at a unique location in the Jeker Quarter. Ensembles of philharmonie Zuidnederland play the moosite music: from an intimate violin concert to a wind quintet.
This year, the twelfth edition of Festival JekerKlassiek will take place in the Jeker Quarter. At the most beautiful and surprising locations in this historic Maastricht district, musicians from Philzuid, Opera Zuid and the Young Talent Class of the Conservatorium Maastricht among others, will play a colourful programme full of classical highlights.
