L'Okapi Role Model Night
T/m 3 september
A special evening of theatre where people share their personal stories about mental health, resilience, vulnerability and the search for yourself.
Real stories and experiences
During L'Okapi Role Model Night, there are no actors on stage, but people telling their own life stories. Frank stories about pain, sadness, happiness, recovery and personal growth break the taboo around mental health and provide a space for recognition and connection.
Personal and social
The stories not only give an insight into individual experiences, but also touch on larger themes such as loneliness, vulnerability, identity and belonging. Audiences are invited to reflect on the stories of others as well as themselves.
Stories in different art forms
Personal experiences are presented creatively, including through stories, music, song, poetry and theatre. This edition brings together the stories of Chantal Horsmans, Arachon Besseling, Kimberley Pisters, Tim Gladdines and Joanne Vertommen in an intimate and inspiring evening.
