Near Maastricht, many plants and animals live on Sint-Pietersberg (Mount Saint peter). We don't always see them, because most animals hide from us. However, we can often see traces left behind by the animals. Maybe you can find paw prints or snail shells together with the forest ranger? A tuft of hair, droppings or an owl's ball with mouse skeletons?
You might also learn a lot about plants. Not only what you can recognise a plant by, but also whether you can use it for something. But most plants in nature are just something to look at together. The forester of Natuurmonumenten can tell you all about them.
