Maastricht is traditionally a true wine city. Wine grapes were already being grown here centuries ago. On top of the Louwberg in the beautiful Jekerdal on the south side of Maastricht lies the monumental Apostelhoeve from the 15th century; the oldest and largest vineyard in the Netherlands!
On a guided tour, you will walk among the vines with stunning views over the Jerker Valley and learn all about wine growing. You will see the installations such as the grape press, the fermentation tanks and the bottling machine. Afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious wine tasting, all accompanied by an expert winemaker. Santé!
