Part of the oeuvre of Maastricht painter, modeller, actor and draughtsman Pieke Dassen can be admired in the Maastricht Museum. Dassen is best known for his puppet theatre, with which he gave many performances in the 'Poesjenellenkelder' under the Dinghuis until 1975. These performances are still a beloved memory for many Maastricht people.
The exhibition at the museum offers a comprehensive look at his versatile talents. Visitors can enjoy a collection of hand puppets, which were an important part of his puppetry. Also on display are paintings, drawings and lithographs by Badgers. This small exhibition is part of the museum's semi-permanent presentation and offers a unique opportunity to discover and appreciate the work of this versatile artist.
