Discover the different quarters of the city via your phone! Using the Cobble app, Maastricht can be transformed into an innovative and digital art city via your mobile.
Blurring the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds, the city's historical decor has been used as a platform for interaction and experience. For this, a combination of geolocation tracking and augmented reality is used, meaning you can perceive the artworks exclusively via your mobile phone.
Because the artworks are (digitally) placed in different quarters, it promotes distribution in the city. The 1.5-metre distance is also easy to follow because the artworks are all outside. And there is nothing to touch and therefore nothing to disinfect!
The artworks that can be found in the app have been developed by a number of (local) artists, such as;

- Novak Cuic (Serbia)
- Filip Roca (Barcelona)
- Predrag Koncar (Maastricht)
The artists have drawn inspiration from the city's historical locations. In doing so, they have provided Maastricht's image as a modern and innovative city.

Cobble can be found in City Centre
Location
Shoppers will enjoy the city centre. This is where the main shopping streets and shopping centres can be found. This part of the city also has the well-known highlights such as the Vrijthof square and the town hall on the Markt square.
