During SCALA, the Dutch dance scene comes together on a single stage, featuring major companies, emerging talent, diverse styles and fresh perspectives.
During SCALA, the new Saturday evening programme of nederlandse Dansdagen, contemporary Dutch dance comes together on a single stage. Well-known companies, emerging artists and a variety of dance styles take to the stage in succession throughout the evening.
Contemporary Dutch dance
The programme features, amongst others, the DutchNational Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), alongside creators and companies such as Vlad & Veronika and Compagnie Tiuri. Different generations, styles and perspectives thus come together in a single programme.
SCALA combines highlights from the dance season with work by artists who are exploring new directions within Dutch dance. The programme is curated by Redo Ait Chitt.
Afterwards: Club TWEAK
AfterSCALA, the evening continues in the Danstent at Club TWEAK. Here, the dancing moves from the stage to the dance floor, and you can round off the evening by dancing yourself.
