Experience a special evening starting with a lecture by art historian Ko van Dun on Rembrandt and his most iconic work: The Night Watch. Ko van Dun shares his expertise and takes you into the world of the painting that has captured the imagination for almost four centuries.
Following this, we will screen Praten met de Nachtwacht, a fascinating documentary in which journalist Coen Verbraak talks to the main characters of Rembrandt's masterpiece in his own unique way. Meet the captain, the lieutenant, the standard-bearer, the drummer and the golden girl, who all share their stories. Even Rembrandt comes up and talks about the special circumstances in which he created his most famous painting.
